Oatmeal cookie meets candy bar... these things are one of a kind and absolutely divine. When I discovered this recipe in my Grandma's recipe box, I truly didn't know what to expect. The results did not disappoint!
Preheat Oven to 350. In large bowl, combine all crust ingredients. Blend well with mixer to form crumbs. Press HALF of crumbs into 11x7 pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
While bottom crust is baking, mix caramel and flour in a bowl. Chop nuts (if need be) and chocolate pieces.
After the 10 minutes, remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate and nuts, then spread caramel mixture evenly on top. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs, then bake 15-20 minutes- taking out when the top layer looks set.
Cool for 1-2 hours before cutting into bars.
